Cat Rescued From Fire Pays It Back By Nursing Other Animals

Russel bravely survived a house-fire and 3rd degree burns resulting in amputations, with the help of the amazing staff at the Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent Care in North Carolina. Now he’s paying it forward! Even though he’s still not fully recovered after a year of treatment, he goes from room to room visiting other animals in distress.

The staff has been amazed by Russel: “he wants to meet all our patients. He just wants to be with them … I don’t know if he can sense that other animals are in pain…but he does seem to have some weird knack for connecting with patients.”

Russel will soon need to have his feet operated on. Generous folks have made it possible for him to live at the hospital full-time, where he will be loved and appreciated.
