Here are some easy, inexpensive home remedies that you won’t believe work until you try them. Most of them use simple ingredients that you already have at home in your pantry.
10. Dry Skin
Oatmeal isn’t only a healthy breakfast anymore! To help with dry, itchy skin or common skin problems like eczema, try adding 2 or 3 cups of finely ground oatmeal to a warm (not hot!) tub of water and soaking the effected areas for 15-20 minutes.
Put aside the expensive beauty creams and try using mayonnaise! Apply a soothing coat of mayonnaise to your skin for an inexpensive facial that will leave your skin smooth, soft and moisturized and that will help retain the youthful elasticity of your skin.
9. Dry Hair
Dry, frizzy hair can be a nightmare. There are dozens, if not more, expensive remedies for dry hair in every grocery and drug store but before you pull out your charge card try one of these ideas from your own pantry. Comb a generous amount of olive oil into your hair, wrap it under a shower cap or grocery bag, and wait 10-15 minutes. Rinse the oil out for a luxurious shine!
For a longer term moisturizing effect, wet hair with hot water. Smooth coconut oil throughout your hair and put it up under a shower cap or grocery bag. Wait 10-15 minutes and then shampoo as normal. Repeating this method once or twice a month will help your hair stay healthy and shiny.
